Resolving conflicting settings

Rewarded Interest allows you to manage your privacy and consent settings across sites. Some users may have other extensions or tools that manage their privacy settings installed. When the settings in Rewarded Interest and another tool are incompatible with each other, the browser may get conflicting signals and your privacy settings may not properly represent your intent.

Ad blockers and Rewarded Interest

Rewarded Interest addresses consent and not ads. It is compatible with most ad blockers.

Some ad blockers also offer the ability to block consent dialogs. This may interfere with Rewarded Interest's ability to set consent on some sites.

If you want to use Rewarded Interest and an ad blocker, it is recommended that you disable any option to remove consent banners in the ad blocker. Also, please note, you will not earn any Rewards.

Do-not-track and Rewarded Interest

Rewarded Interest manages your consent settings across all of your sites. Since Rewarded Interest has granular controls for different consent purposes, different companies, and can be configured on a per-site basis, it is generally not compatible with the global Do-Not-Track or DNT setting.

If you want to use DNT functionality, please enable the Do-not-track / Global Privacy Control setting within Rewarded Interest. It can be found in the "Customize..." option for "What activities companies are allowed to do…" Navigate to the Behavior Based set of purposes and look for the option "Do-not-track / Global Privacy Control." Then disable DNT in your browser.

Global Privacy Control and Rewarded Interest

Rewarded Interest manages your consent settings across all of your sites. Since Rewarded Interest has granular controls for different consent purposes, different companies, and can be configured on a per-site basis, it may conflict with other extensions that manage a blanket, cross-site implementation of  Global Privacy Control or GPC.

If you want to use DNT functionality, please enable the Do-not-track / Global Privacy Control setting within Rewarded Interest. It can be found in the "Customize..." option for "What activities companies are allowed to do…" Navigate to the Behavior Based set of purposes and look for the option "Do-not-track / Global Privacy Control." Then, disable GPC through any other tools.
