Purposes and Vendors

There are many flavors of consent dialogs. When you encounter a dialog asking for consent, it may simply ask you to accept cookies or it may be a multi-tiered system asking you about different things the companies behind ad serving, targeting, measurement or site customization want to do.

Rewarded Interest attempts to set the most granular representation of your preferences.

On some sites, we have to rely on the consent dialog on the page to set your consent. If the dialog gives us the ability to set your preferences purpose by purpose and vendor by vendor, we do so. By default, if the dialog combines purposes or vendors together into groups, we will only allow the whole group of purposes or vendors if you allow all of them individually. We attempt to "fail safe".

On other sites, we provide the site and their partners a way to programmatically get your consent preferences. If they do not read your consent preferences, then consent is not provided.

When we cannot set preferences purpose by purpose and vendor by vendor and you have selected to "Optimize for Rewards", we will set settings that balance privacy and your ability to get Rewards.
