Advertisers don't want to show ads to people that won't ever buy their products.

They can't efficiently show you ads unless they can separate out people that are interested from people who are not. This requires a way to differentiate people. It requires an ID.

Advertisers can be almost 50% more efficient with the money they spend to buy ads when they can target individuals. We charge advertisers only 10% (that's how we give you 5%).

How WE make money

Advertising partners are willing to pay Rewarded Interest (and you) in order to get a stable cross-site, cross-device ID that you have agreed can be used to target advertisements.
